Oh my goodnessss. I can’t believe it’s going to be May soon! I’m so excited for a new month. April was super fun because I had holidays for most of it, but I still don’t feel like 2 weeks was enough. Maybe that’s just me being sad they’re over. But anyway, today I am going to be doing another monthly wrap-up for the month of April:))
Stay til the end for the announcement:))

✨Playlist✨
you might notice there’s a lot of Taylor Swift. I really like her songs:)
✨life stuff (basically me rambling for a whole segment)✨
SO. I had holidays this month, so I wasn’t very productive, but I think I really needed that rest, ya know? anyway, in April I have just been not sticking to my routines, wanting to stay in bed (I did, however, start the new school term with a fresh mindset, this was just during holidays:)) and now that school started again, I’m getting back into my groove. I definitely didn’t do as much as I wanted to this month, but it gave me a breather from my normal busy life:) I mentioned in my March wrap-up that I was in a rut, so this month I took a break. And now, in May, I am going to bounce back and have a nice, balanced month.
✨blogging✨
I published a few posts in April, and you can see them below:) but also, I was intending to do another part of my My Favourite _ Things Series, which just didn’t happen:/ I’m trying to do at least 2 of those posts in may though, so bear with me!
- Interview with Kriti! | Collab
- Q&A Parts one, two and three (click to view)
- Verity by Colleen Hoover book review!
- Book Recommendations | What I read in March (NO SPOILERS)
- The Remarkable Blogger Tag!
- My April Bullet Journal Spreads!
- A Force Of Nature | A poem
- Creating Moodboards based off songs on my playlist!
- ‘Memories’ by Conan Gray – review!
- Fun things to do with friends!
- My bookish wishlist for April + my tbr!
- Drama, dogs, and doubts | an update
✨Reading✨
I haven’t been reading as much as I’d like this month, unfortunately. However, I did come across my favourite book ever, so I guess that makes up for it:)
- Confess by Colleen Hoover
- Verity by Colleen Hoover – my new favourite book EVER!
- Two Can Keep A Secret by Karen M Macmanus
- Wonder by R.J Palacio
(I decided to stop doing the snapshots segment, since I don’t have many photos to share, ever 😂)
✨reviewing goals✨
- finish decorating/purging my room!
well, I did, a bit. I went through all my clothes, but I still have that one place in my room where junk goes… well, I have 2, actually. Anyway, I did a bit of this, but I didn’t finish my room, and it won’t be finished until at least September-ish. It’s fine though, I can wait. As of right now, I am just trying to get rid of as much unnecessary clutter in my life as possible, whether that be physical, digital, or emotional. - start working on the moving series (coming soon!)
no, not yet. And by the way. It won’t be coming until like, August. So yup. I thought my room would be finished by May when I wrote that goal, but instead of freestanding I decided to go for a built-in closet, which I’m having built in a few months. Hopefully, though, I’ll start working on the first episodes soon (but I won’t publish them yet:) - stay consistent with blogging
I think I stayed pretty consistent… I mean, as much as I could. I’m never consistent on my blog Deep Convo though, so I’ll work on that more. I am also going to start working on posts for the Jolly Space, because I recently joined as a member! All the love the TJS team, you’re the best ❤ - go outside more
yes! I went outside in the garden almost everyday during the holidays, and I’ve been spending more and more time outside in the beautiful weather! We had a patch of quite high temperatures for where I live. It was so nice! - eat healthier
I’ve been trying to, but I’m not going to restrict myself from eating what I love. I think this was honestly such a bad, non-specific goal though:/ - do more✨physical exercise✨
I did! I’ve been getting into a routine of exercising each morning, just for 10 minutes, and I love it! It’s a great way to start my day:) - try some new books!
I did, definitely! I read some verrrry interesting books this moth, and found my new favourite book ever! I have been reading like 50 pages a day, and the books I read don’t usually have more than like 300 maximum pages, so I read quite quickly!
✨achievements/memories✨
- I finally published the Q&A! I had been putting this off since February, and I finally published those posts!
- I found my favourite book ever!
- loads of memories from my Easter holidays! going to the park with friends, sleepovers, and more<3
- my best friend’s birthday!
- my mum’s birthday was yesterday! click here to read the poem I wrote for her<3
- I started my summer term at school. I’m only a little bit in, and I’ve already had 3 assessments and have like, 5 coming up:/ it’s going to be very demanding!
- I did my first interview ever! I did it in a collab with Kriti, which was super fun!
✨goals for May✨
- Stay consistent with a routine!
I need to do this. Seriously, I’ve been trying to get back into routine recently, which is good because since school is so demanding, I need some organisation! - Be more positive
I want to start seeing the good in every situation, and stop spiralling. Whenever I have a demotivating moment, or my day isn’t going great, I always just… give up. And I’m trying to stop. - Read 5 books
So every month since February (Feb, March and April) I have consistently read 4 books. But this month I’m goin’ for 5! I hope I can read 5 books. I already have 4 that I am planning to read, 2 of them I bought and the other 2 I borrowed so I need to read them in time to return them. - Save money
I need to do this because I spent like half my money on my mum’s birthday present 😂 and then also like. I should be more disciplined. So yep. - Post more on Deep Convo
I mean, I started the blog, I should keep up with it! After writing this, I’m going to go on there and write something. But you won’t see it until at least Sunday:)
Ahhhh that’s perfect 5 goals! (I’m a Virgo and a perfectionist, so it’s satisfying for me:)))

Thanks so much for reading! how did April go for you? also, what are you looking forward to in April? OH another thing
since so many of you loved my poem I wrote on Mothers’ Day, I’m going to start posting poems on Deep Convo so I have more content to post there! I love writing poems, and I’m super excited to share some over there! click on this text to go and have a look:) also, can you comment one-word prompts for poetry? I would love to hear what you want me to write about:))
thanks again for reading! i love you all to the moon and back, and I hope you have an incredible day and spend some time alone, thinking! see you next timeee<33

Love this wrap up Sateja! I’m excited to read your May wrap up so we can see you bounce back! 😀 I’m the same as you, I had a long holiday in April so I stopped planning as much – I need to get back into it!

April was filled with so many public holidays and long weekends in South Africa🎉. It was amazing! Yeah, if you feel that you needed the rest then it’s good that you rested rather then pushing yourself to be productive👐.
Good luck with all your goals and the new school term🌼
